Halema‘uma‘u Crater Lava Lake
September 11, 2016 - The lava lake in Halema'uma'u Crater inside the Kilauea Caldera was at yearly high and provided a beautiful light show in the pre-dawn hours. I watched as the three pools of fire (in this image) danced for several minutes eventually merging into one large pool of fire.
