Summer Freeze
July 26, 2017 - The record season of precipitation in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Winter 2017 created some challenging backpacking in Summer 2017. Going cross country and traversing snowfields in late July led us to this view of Cecile Lake and the Minarets. In the middle of Summer, Cecile Lake was 80-90% frozen over. An epic winter led to some amazing summer scenery.
